Jeremy David pointed me toward a list of the 100 best novels, provided by The Modern Library. Here are the ones I’ve read! (Note that the lists have duplicates.)
On “The Board’s List,”
2 (my favorite!), 5, 7, 13, 19, 31, 41, 64 (which I HATED), 69, 86 (my second favorite)
On “The Readers’ List”
4, 5, 6, 13, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 31, 56, 77, 94
What five or so am I missing that I HAVE to read immediately?

Ha ha, the “Readers'” list lost some credibility in my books when I noticed BATTLEFIELD EARTH was listed as number 3.
Well, it’s pretty hard to go wrong with anything by John Irving, so you should get to “… Owen Meany” or “… Garp” sooner rather than later.
But lists aside, my two all-time favorite novels are “Animal Dreams” by Barbara Kingsolver and “The Power of One” by Bryce Courtenay. I really recommend those.
Oh boy, it’s embarrassing how few of these I’ve actually read. To my credit, I do have a lot of them on my bookshelves, but when I’ll ever get around to actually reading them is anyone’s guess! But no Pride and Prejudice?? Now that’s a travesty! LOL
Ooh, just remembered another novel I loved: “The Tiny One” by Eliza Minot. And if you haven’t read “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime” by Mark Haddon, do yourself a favor and read that now. It won’t take long, but you’ll want to draw out the reading because you won’t want it to end.
