Freelance Writer’s End-of-the-Year Checklist

Are you ready for the next calendar year? This list of 9 things freelancers should do before the end of the year is a definite must:

  1. Go over the books.
  2. Pile up the receipts.
  3. Compare your total income with your total hours worked.
  4. Review your client list
  5. Recycle or donate unused or outdated office equipment.
  6. Weed out the unnecessary stuff from the file cabinet.
  7. Get a 2008 calendar.
  8. Research, research, research.
  9. Clean up your hard drive.

Some nice reminders here Kristen. As simple as some of these ideas are, I’m sure plenty of us had forgotten about at least one in this list. :)
