I’ve had it! I’m tired of being a hoarder!

www.inkthinkerblog.com — Yes, folks, that’s HOARDER. Don’t be mean. I’m thinning the magazine collection THIS WEEKEND. Goodbye, Health from 2004. Goodbye, InStyle and Fashion (where did you guys come from anyway?). Goodbye, Southern Living, which I never read anyway. Goodbye, random issues of miscellaneous mags I brought home from the doctor’s office/library $.05 sale/used book store. You guys are OUTTA HERE!

Goodbye, overflowing bookshelf.

Goodbye, stacks of stuff I can’t find room to file.

Do you Freecycle? We belong to several local Freecycle chapters, and whenever we need to get rid of things we mention them for Freecycle first. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. I’m a part-time nanny and magazines are always great for the kids to cut out pictures and make collages.

The link for Freecycle is: http://www.freecycle.org. From there you can find your local chapter.

    Have a great weekend!

Thanks for the recommendation! I found two Freecycle groups in my area and am awaiting mod approval for my message. Anything left at the end of the day on Sunday is getting recycled!

There’s also cheapcycle (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Cheapcycle_Groups/) which is very much like Freecycle, except you can charge a little bit of money for your stuff. Which of course means you can buy new stuff to replace the old stuff! :)
