Playing catch-up with daily blog reading and forum visits

www.inkthinkerblog.com — I haven’t hit up Miss Snark in more than a month.
I’ve been gone from The Golden Pencil.
I haven’t even visited in Absolute Write in ages.

Today I started to catch up, and man have I missed a lot! Now that my bookmarks are a little more organized, maybe it’ll be easier to get to all of them. And of course, I’m newly addicted to Craigslist Curmudgeon, SixFigureWriters, and Wordpreneur.

Granted, it’s fun, but reading other folks’ blogs also gives me ideas, helps me stay on top of what’s happening in the industry, and opens an opportunity to share my thoughts in front of a new audience by commenting. It’s win-win, and interesting. Who’s on your list of blogs to read daily?

I find that I keep up with my daily blog rounds better by subscribing to all my favorite blogs’ RSS feeds through Bloglines. You can add a Bloglines notifier icon to your computer’s systray (aka dashboard) that will alert you when the blogs you subscribe to have been updated.

Thanks for the tip! I’m all about technology, but I just haven’t gotten the hang of RSS readers. There’s something I love about clicking from blog to blog, so I haven’t really tried very hard to get into them. I think it may be time to reconsider…

    Hi Kristen,

I’m new to your blog, and love it. :)

I hate to step on the toes of the first commenter, but before I even read her comment, I was going to say you should really try Google Reader. Many are switching from Bloglines, as it really is a better service and (since it’s in “labs,”) getting better all the time!

Whenever your blog is updated, I know right away. None of this checking every few days but forgetting and by the time you remember there are old posts of interest that its too late to comment on. LOL

(My previous experience with bookmarking each interesting site.)

Hey, Diane! I’m glad you made it over. I’ll definitely be visiting your blogs on a regular basis, and ::insert sigh here:: I’ll think about trying a reader… ;] Come back often!
