Has my garrulousness come to an end?

www.inkthinkerblog.com — A friend of mine suggested that I give professional blogging a try. Great idea! I thought. Then I sat down to make a list of topics I could blog professionally about…and two days later I still have one idea. Is it possible that I, Kristen King, who talk even in my sleep, have absolutely nothing to talk about?

Hobbies? Reading and writing.
Job? Reading and writing.
Interests? Reading and writing.
Special skills/training? Reading and writing.

Sure, I have a lot to say here, but this is basically all about reading and writing. I’m guessing I wouldn’t be able to get by on just writing about my day-to-day life, but hey, who knows? In fact, if you can think of a way that I can do that, please e-mail me, because otherwise, I got nuttin’.

Can I help you? I love ideation!

Try to think of a topic that you feel strongly about (not a thing). What conversations do you just love to have? What ruffles your feathers? What gets you all hot and bothered? What news stories do you just gobble up?

Do you enjoy discussing politics? Women’s issues? Humanitarianism? Religion? Male bashing? Racism? Crime? Gossip?

Keep going … and keep us posted!

I would love your help! Thank you! I have very strong ideas about parenting and families, but I have no kids, so I don’t know how well that would fly. But I want kids, so maybe I could make that work somehow, like roll it into a coming-of-age/newlywed/building-a-family thing… I’ve actually been thinking about that a lot over the last six months, but I’m not sure I could make it profitable (though it sure would be fun, so maybe I’ll do it anyway).

Definitely not politics! I’m interested in women’s issues, but not enough to write about them; I’m for humanitarianism, I’m opposed to racism and crime; and I think gossip is boring — and that’s about all I have to say on those topics, so those won’t work. :] I enjoy discussing religion, but I don’t think I would enjoy doing it in blog format, and I do volunteer ministry work anyway, so I have an outlet for those beliefs and opinions, so that’s off the table.

This is good, gets me thinking. Keep giving suggestions, please!

I don’t know, Kristen– with the way you blog, sometimes several times a day, I don’t think you could run out out of things to say! When I first started blogging most of it was personal, and I would blog several times a day. Now I just don’t always know what to write, so it’s hard enough to remember to update twice a week! I got out of the “habit” of blogging, and need to get back into it.

    You go, girl!
