www.inkthinkerblog.com — Well, perhaps my professional blogging career isn’t dead in the water! I contacted another option earlier this week and have been talking with my relevant person over the last few days to work out some possibilities. It looks like I’ll be starting as a paid blogger taking over an existing blog that has absolutely nothing to do with writing (though I’m sure I’ll find a way to bring it in!). More info when the contract is signed. Woohoo, perseverance!

Mwha ha ha! You have joined our realm!
Congrats! I’m happy for you and I’m dying to know what you’ll be covering.
Aww, thanks, babe! And before I even had a chance to hit you up for advice! I still reserve the right, though. :]

That’s very cool. I’ve been wondering whether or not I would enjoy blogging for a company or about something that wasn’t a personal obsession. I think I could because a writing job is a writing job, but the big question is: Is the money good? It seems like many of those gigs aren’t worth the time investment, so you need to find the employer who values writers. I’m sure you did, so that is great!
The money’s not phenomenal, but income coupled with the exposure and experience I’m going to get from it make it totally worth it for me to do this. I’m confident in my ability to use this to gain income in other ways as well, both now and in the future, so it will be a good investment. That won’t be the case for everyone, meaning that some places may very well pay phenomenal money and for some folks, unphenomenal money may not be worth it.
hmm, maybe you can make money with that, huh? that’s really cool, K!
