This is really cool, Kristen. Glad to hear you’re spreading your wings. Just goes to show there’s more than one way to skin a freelance cat. LOL I’m currently having my Web site redesigned so I found this post really interesting. By the way, how’d you earn the Writer’s Digest kudos? Did you enter yourself or did someone nominate you? I’ve heard about their writing contests but I’ve never seen the Best Writer’s Web site contest. Best of luck with you newest endeavor!

I was nominated by several writing friends as well as nominating myself, which is, of course, okay. The contest details are in the October 2006 issue (which, oddly, went out in like August).
One big criterion is that you have to create and maintain your site without outside design help, which, I think, knocks a lot of folks out of the running.
I look forward to seeing some ::inkthinker:: readers on the list of finalists next year!
