Thanks to my rocking new designer, Heather, Inkthinker has a whole new look! She operates at Goofy Girl Designs, and she is definitely one of the nicest people I’ve ever encountered online. Now, go give her your money! You’ll be glad you did.

I love the new look! Now all I want to do is change mine – or maybe it is another excuse to procrastinate? No, no, must query.
Wowee! Colorful just like your personality! I like this!
Whoa! Snazzy new design!
Thanks, you guys! My husband was teasing me last night because every time I change something, I’m like, “It’s so much more my personality now!”
HIM: So your personality changes every six months?
ME: I’ve had the same blog design for a whole year!
HIM: Oh, uh-huh, okay…
I *love* it, girl! It’s so bright and colorful and vibrant! And I adore the GREEN!
Sweet design!
Kristen,
Sorry to be the party pooper, but the new design has some technical problems. That and I hate it. But the latter comment is just personal taste. Let’s talk about the technical issues.
1. The Inkthinker header should link to the blog’s home page. Right now it isn’t a link at all. The only way to get to the home page from a single article is to manually truncate the URL in the browser address bar.
2. The stripey background of the InkThinkerHeader6.gif image doesn’t align with the page background. The discrepancy is jarring and looks amateurish. This may be a browser-dependent problem; I haven’t checked. (I use Foxfire.)
3. Because the page background loads first, then the text, then the white blog background, it takes a while before text is readable. I’m not sure what the reason is or how your designer can fix it, but it’s really annoying to have to wait to read the text while staring at that garish background ;-(
This doesn’t mean I don’t still love your blog, though!
For what it’s worth,
I can comfortably read your content if I resize my browser window to hide the background. Otherwise I can’t focus. The background messes with my eyes. It’s like an optical illusion that I can’t shut out.
