I e-mailed the query Jan. 5 and the editor replied the next morning:

Tiffani,
I would be interested in this story, and the sources you have are great, but I would want at least 2 additional (local) sources, since we are a local magazine.

After adding the sources, I got this reply:

That sounds great. I could use approx. 1500 words — resources list (as a sidebar), and any photos any of your contacts might want to send us to use.
