Today’s To-Do List

www.inkthinkerblog.com

I have a ton of stuff to get done today, and I need some accountability to make it happen! Here’s what’s on my plate:

  • finish my dozen or so in-progress articles and submit them to ezinearticles.com
  • revise a press release for the Article Challenge
  • post on LivelyWomen.com
  • finish editing an article on stem cell research
  • start editing some oncology articles
  • work on my Subsidiary Rights project (due Thursday!!!)
  • finish the book proposal I’m writing for a client
  • finish critique for project 1 and quote for project 2 for another client
  • strategize on how to get more copywriting jobs for publishers’ seasonal catalogs
  • submit some QUERIES!!!!!

Okay, time to get cracking, especially since I have a doctor’s appointment in 15 minutes (and I’m not dressed yet), my Bible study at 1 (and I haven’t finished the chapter), and a book study meeting at 7 (and I haven’t even started prepping for that yet). Oy!

What are you working on today?

I know what you mean, Kristen. After I put in my nine hours at work, I have a committee meeting, then home to update my blog, finish some queries, and tweak an essay I’m working on. Usually my to-do list is way too ambitious and I only accomplish about half of what I plan to do.

Ooh, you’ve piqued my interest. What’s the Bible study topic (if any)?

Sorry I didn’t get back to you last night about your laptop. My husband was out-of-it last night. I’m going to catch him this afternoon, though! I’ll probably just have him e-mail you.

    Susan, I hear that! :]

Julia, the chapters in the study book are topical, but overall it’s just a survey of what the Bible teaches, based completely on scripture (as opposed to, for instance, oral tradition, etc.). It’s excellent.

I’m actually on the second book right now, which gets more indepth than the general survey in the first book. I’ve got extra copies of the first one if anyone’s interested. Just e-mail me privately with your address, and I’ll mail it out!

I love the accountability aspect of just writing down your to-do list for the public to see. :) I havent’ done that in a while, but I suddenly feel inspired… thanks. :)

I think —- I might do this daily and then delete the post at the end of the day — just so I’m accountable to do the work.

Okay, I feel like such a slacker.

  • Feb 13, 2007 Link

Okay, and I so didn’t get through everything on my list, so don’t feel like a slacker. I barely made a dent. I’m the slacker!

Ambitious, but a slacker nonetheless. :]

I’m finishing up an encyclopedia project, with a world health focus, and then I can focus on my next sport-related book.

Days are too short, no doubt . . .

I’m afraid today’s To-Do list was to stay vertical during day work and the show. Achieved — but it sure wasn’t easy! ;)

Working on my own two deadlines but thinking about how you’re doing grinding through your “to do” list. Hope you are not stressing too badly.

  • Feb 17, 2007 Link

yikes. i feel like a lazy slug on a daily basis compared to your list of what you’ll accomplish in a day…do you really finish most things on the list?

  • Feb 19, 2007 Link

Oh god, Kristen, you shame us all! I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t finish your to-do list but am also secretly happy that you’re not the superhuman (inhuman?) woman we imagine you to be. ;-)

I’m a few days behind reading your wonderful blog. Got a full-time job to help pay some bills but am keeping up with the novel- and playwriting as well as some freelance work I’m doing for the local paper. Today’s to-do list (holiday today) is to write at least 5 pages of the novel (made it to 8), organize home office, and get groceries. So far, 1 out of 3. Oh well.

    Cheers,
    Marjorie
