Thanks a million for noticing my post on how Mitch Albom is writing at a third-grade level, Kristen. You have a great site.
I’m embarassed to admit this, but I also figured out the grade levels of the writing of a lot of U.S. Presidnets based on their books: JFK’s “Profiles in Courage,” Bill Clinton’s “My Life,” George W. Bush’s “A Charge to Heal,” and more. (What, you’ve forgotten Bush’s book already?) And — bizarre but true — Bush’s book came out higher than some of Thomas Jefferson’s work. What’s embarrassing is that I thought President’s Day was last weekend, so I posted the info way too early (on Feb. 10) … But it was fun to write.
