A Quick Note on Etiquette for Dealing With Sources

www.inkthinkerblog.com

DON’T send out a desperate plea to all of your writing colleagues begging for a source on short notice and then fail to even acknowledge someone who drops everything to give you some quotes so you won’t miss your deadline.

This writing etiquette moment has been brought to you by a writer who shall remain nameless (and, as far as this girl is concerned, sourceless from here on out).

I completely agree — and I feel the writer’s pain — been there. It’s very frustrating to help someone in a rush and then not even get a “thank you”.

Amen. It amazes me how many people are brusque and bordering on rude with people who bend over backwards to help them.

Maybe s/he is really busy and a thank you is forthcoming? One can only hope. Otherwise, ouch!
