Who’s going to Book Expo at the Javits Center in NYC this year? Let me know. I’d love to plan some meet-ups. Also, if you are going, definitely plan on attending the Writer’s Digest Conference beforehand. It’s a great time, and wonderful info.

See you there, Kristen.
Yay! When it gets closer, let’s make plans to rendezvous — ideally, something akin to “I’ll be wearing a sequined vest and carrying a yellow rose.” ;]

i am hoping to make it and bring hubby along probably just for a day.
I won’t be going to BEA because Reed Exhibitions, the company that is organizing the expo, also organizes weapons fairs around the world. I’m a pacifist, so any company that helps any nation get access to weaponry is a company I find objectionable. I feel that by extension, I must boycott organizations and events who use Reed Exhibitions’ services, in addition to boycotting products produced by any division of Reed Elsevier, the parent company of Reed Exhibitions. I wrote a post about this on my blog recently.
kf, let’s meet up. I want to see you and to meet Tim! Shame you can’t bring Bobbie… :[ You gonna come to the WD conference? You totally should… We’d so rule that place.
KOK, thanks for weighing in. I appreciate your opinion, and I’m glad you shared it! It’s important to stand up for what you believe in, and I applaud you for doing so. But I’m sorry I won’t see you! Maybe another time.

Kathy K. and I are planning on going as well. We live about 45 minutes from each other so it turns out it’d be really convenient to meet up and then go to the Expo!
I’m a maybe. . . sounds good, but also sounds overwhelming (but the “6 Usual Suspects” WD presentation sounds too fascinating to pass up). Have you been to this before? Any tips for navigating, making it a worthwhile networking event, and not getting too overwhelmed?
I second Joanne’s request. Would LOVE to see you cover how to make the most of the event.
