www.inkthinkerblog.com — In a word, yes. Freelancers know that the key to success, after having a quality product and good prices and being easy to work with, is networking, and LinkedIn makes it easy for even the shyest among us to be champion networkers. Since joining LinkedIn this summer, I’ve built a network of more than 100 connections, and through those 100+ individuals I’m connected to more than 400,000 people, any of who may have a need for my services at any given time. LinkedIn allows you to search your connections and THEIR connections for job opportunities, answers to your pressing business questions, and any other information you may want to track down. You also have the chance to respond to other people’s questions and develop a reputation as an expert, which is certainly handy. My recommendation? Check it out. And when you sign up, link to me! It sounds like fun. I’m signed up, but it won’t let me link to you…
If you can link to me, that would be cool too. :D
Done!
If it won’t let you link directly to me, go to http://www.linkedin.com/ and search “Kristen King” and you should be able to add me that way. That’s what I just had to do with Laurie.
Even though I’ve been signed up since last year, it’s only in the last month that I decided to get serious about LinkedIn. I’ll be linking to you, Kristen!
