Hey Kristen. I’ve been using iCal ever since I got my iPhone — it is just taking so long to get used to an electronic calendar!

(FYI, I just posted a few calendars on discussing breast cancer dot com that feature survivors (or the art of survivors) and benefit my favorite cause if anyone of your other readers share my passion!)

Greetings! I have a small agenda that I can fit in my purse, and Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning (open source calendar and email systems that are very similar to Outlook) on my laptop. I also have a small notebook that I carry around with me everywhere in which I jot down notes, reminders and anything else that come to mind, including any appointments and meetings I need to enter in my calendar later.

    Cheers,
    Marjorie

I don’t have one for the next year yet, but the weedate agenda (http://www.weekdate.com) sounds brilliant. I think I’ll go for it. :)

@ Karen – I am thinking about getting an iPhone because I’m a total Mac/Apple junkie nowadays, but it seems like overkill for what I actually need, you know? How have you liked it? Let me know if you’d be willing/interested to write a guest post on how iPhones and writers get along. :]

@ Marjorie – I like the idea of carrying a notebook to write stuff down and then entering it in a central location. Good call!

@ Ana – I hadn’t heard about Week Date, but I just checked it out and LOVE the concept. Let us know how you like it when you get yours!!!

Update: Okay, I couldn’t stop looking at WeekDate’s website after Ana pointed it out, and I just ordered my own weekly for 2008. I will post pictures when it comes and let you know how I like it. Also, I e-mailed the owner to find out how I can promote it on Inkthinker if I like it and will see if I can get us some kind of discount if that works out. Will keep you posted!

Typically, I use a daily planner (daytimer or the generic), but that hasn’t been enough. So, I went out and got one of those huge desk calendars from Staples . . . hopefully the giant-ness of this will help keep me doing what I need to be doing and when!! I still use Julie Hood’s organizing stuff after all of these years, too (http://www.organizedwriter.com).

@ Jenn – I used to use a desk calendar, but I found that it was no use to me because it was always covered with the crap I spread out on my desk! Folders, magazines, mail, article notes, pens, pencils, things I took away from the dogs… No good! I need something that’s hard to lose and easy to carry with me or use at my desk.

Will need to add Julie’s program to my list of things to check out. I’ll take all the help I can get!
