www.inkthinkerblog.com — Wow, this was a close race! But after checking, double checking, and rechecking the numbers of the top two queriers, we have a winner for the most queries sent in 2007.
Congratulations to Jessica Mousseau, who logged 324 legal queries in the 2007 Challenge. (See last year’s rules and clarifications.) She is the winner of a silver 2GB iPod Nano! If Jessica declines the prize, it will go to second-place querier Susan Johnston, who came in at 312 queries.
Great, work, everyone. Let’s make it another close race this year!

Gulp. That’s 6+ queries a week…
Where on earth do you (JM/SJ) get the ideas for these?! And does that leave any time for the actual writing?! :)
Just kidding – I *know* it’s possible; just need to do it myself!
Congratulations!
Hi Harmony,
Good you hear from you again. Hope the kids are doing well!
Chryselle,
I can’t speak for Jessica, but for me, I carry a notebook wherever I go and I’m constantly jotting down ideas from conversations with friends, news stories, etc. Plus, when Magazine A rejects it, I reevaluate, reslant a bit, and send it along to Mazagine B.
Also, sometimes an editor will say to me “I need profiles on XX topic – is there anyone you’d like to write about?” And of course, the answer is a resounding YES!!
Thanks for coordinating this, KK! It gave me a major boost to get out there and I think I owe a lot of my success this year to this contest and my competitive spirit. :)
