www.inkthinkerblog.com — I got an e-mail the other day from a colleague asking, “Where’s Kristen?”
The short answer is that I’m swamped and I’ve been feeling under the weather for some time now, first with a cough that wouldn’t quit and later with the stomach virus or SOMETHING that wouldn’t end, leaving me cranky and skinny as I lived on ginger ale for a few weeks. Good times.
BUT! I’m starting to feel better, which is nice, and I have all kinds of exciting changes to report on. As a quick summary:
- I did go ahead and hire that assistant I’d been wanting, and it’s been great.
- I formed an LLC to replace my sole proprietorship, Kristen King Freelancing. I am now Inkthinker Communications, LLC, and I’m working on a new website and general rebranding.
- I got lovely new business cards, of which I will post a photo soon.
- I’ve been working on a bunch of cool and interesting projects.
- I was elected to the Board of Directors for Washington Independent Writers, which as of July 1 is now American Independent Writers. How cool is that?
- Inkthinker got plugged on ABC.com (!!!).
Which is a great segue into why I can’t post more now: I’m on my way to my first Board meeting. But look for more regular updates, hopefully starting later this week.
Thanks for hanging in there with me!

Kristen:
Many congratulations on your success. I am excited to hear about what you have accomplished, as I know what you do insipires many people.
I hope you’re feeling better and can’t wait to read more posts from you.
Wow. Without even posting in three weeks, you still survived my merciless Google Reader hatchet job. I must really like this blog. ;-)

Is there a link to your plug on ABC.com? That’s incredibly great news–congrats on all your successes!
Awww, it’s not fair to be sick in the summer. Good that you’re feeling better.
New business cards sound fun. I keep thinking I should get some (if only to point people to my blog so they can figure out what exactly I do for a living :P), but since I don’t network or have clients or anything, it’s been a low priority.
Anyway, congratulations on your progress and success!
