Funny Grammar Errors on a Magazine Cover

(www.inkthinkerblog.com) — Even irreverent hobbyist publications need good grammar, particularly a good understanding of correct modifier placement and parallelism. Case in point:

Let’s start with the line above the title: “Drink – Laugh – Learn – Cougars”

Dude, what’s with the lovely three-verb series with a random noun stuck on the end? (Yes, I know what a cougar is, but please, you’re killing my prescriptivist soul.)

And then move to the right and check out those 12 great beer reviews. I didn’t realize you could buy 12 great beer reviews. I thought most people just bought the beer. Huh. How ’bout that.
