Lively Women Essay Contest — Deadline May 15, 2007
Flex those writing muscles, ladies. The first-ever Lively Women Essay Contest is now accepting entries.
Do you know a lively woman? Maybe it’s your mom, your sister, your best friend, or just that cool girl at the bank drive-through who’s always so nice to you. Whoever she is, you think she’s wonderful. And here’s your chance to let the world know why!
The Contest. In 250-500 words, tell us about your favorite lively woman and just what makes her so great. Your entry should be original and honest, and don’t forget to proofread! The deadline is May 15, 2007, at 11:59 p.m. GMT-5 (EST). Submit your essay to me at kristen@b5media.com as a .doc or .rtf attachment. Sorry, guys, but only women are eligible to enter.

That’s right, folks, the winner of our first Inkthinker Query Challenge Random Prize Drawing is Jessica Mousseau (pictured at left).
Jessica will be taking home an autographed copy of Peter Bowerman’s The Well-Fed Writer, generously donated by PB himself. Congratulations, Jessica!
In the interest of full disclosure, the first two winners were folks who haven’t reported any numbers at all, sadly, and then I managed to draw myself as the third one (I was using digits, not names, FYI), so none of us were eligible. And then, lo and behold, Jessica’s numbers came up! And seeing as how she’s got more queries than the rest of us put together (well not quite, but close), it only seems right. She’s been working so hard!
Look for the next drawing around the middle of May… And if you want to have a chance at winning, be sure to report your query numbers every month!
