Hi Kristen,
Article #2 Sold!!
Hi Harmony,
I like your article idea. Could you have the finished article to me by February 15?
Thank you so much for this challenge, I would never have sent out so many queries if I hadn’t joined!
Harmony
Excellent work! But just a reminder, this is all you. You’re the one sticking with it and putting the time in — and you should all be really proud of yourselves.
Do you have a 2007 Inkthinker Query Challenge Success Story? Great! E-mail me!

Subject: 2007 query challenge update
Kristen,
As the subject line says …
… I got a bite. From a magazine called Linux Journal (which I’ve been wanting to break into for a few years). They’re interested in an article on … well, I wouldn’t describe it as a technical topic but it is kind of involved and will require me to craft a number of clear, concise explanations while trying to keep things interesting. Oh, yeah, the pay isn’t too bad either.

Sweet! Scott, that’s awesome. Congrats on breaking into a tough market! Keep us posted.

Great news, Kristen! I signed up for your Query Challenge in the middle of January. The first three pieces I sent out on January 20 as part of the Challenge were accepted by Flash Flooding. All three. I got word this morning.
Thank you so much for this extra push to try to get our work out there.
Gale Martin
Congratulations! That is definitely great news. Be sure to send a link so we can check it out!

Hi Kristen,
Just thought you’d like to know that your Query Challenge has led to another (potential) success story. Yesterday I received the following email from one of the online pubs I sent a few ideas to:
“…you’re one of the better writers to come out of the questionablewriting-gene
pool that is craigslist. We’d like you [to] take a stab at writing for us.”
Will keep you posted on how this and other queries pan out. I think i’m up to seven for the month, which is actually more than I anticipated.
Thanks for the motivation!
Kathy
Glad to know you’ve risen to the top of the gene pool. ;] What a great response! Keep up the good work. :]
