Time Management Tips for People Who Work From Home

www.inkthinkerblog.com — Thanks to my fellow b5media blogger Julie from Declutter It! (one of my new favorite blogs) for pointing me toward this great article on how better time management can increase your productivity over at Daily Web Ideas.

When it comes to blogging and doing web work, one of the most important skills is managing your time effectively. When I first started I would sit in front of my computer for hours doing nothing productive – chatting on instant messenger, checking stats more times than needed, and just aimlessly surfing the net.

Once I made a conscious effort to be more productive in front of the computer, things got a lot better and my income went up. I was amazed at how much more I started getting accomplished in much less time. Read more…

How I’ve Started to View Money

www.inkthinkerblog.com — After I got back from a successful check-retrieval trip to the post office, my husband and I had this conversation:

Me: Babe, guess what came in the mail today.

Him: Oh, was it that check you were waiting for?

Me: Yeah, new glasses and a piano.

Him: Great! Anything else coming in this week?

Me: Yup, the rest of the summer semester.

Weekly Newsletters I Love

www.inkthinkerblog.com — Wednesday is my favorite weekday, and not only because it’s halfway to the weekend. Wednesdays are the day I receive Marcia Yudkin’s Marketing Minute and RedPepper’s The Seed, my two favorite newsletters. They’re both marketing oriented and they both take less than 5 minutes to read but provide a message that stays with me for days and often weeks.

Check them out to  increase your marketing prowess in less than 10 minutes a week.
