Weekly Newsletters I Love

by Kristen King on July 25, 2007

Wednesday is my favorite weekday, and not only because it’s halfway to the weekend. Wednesdays are the day I receive Marcia Yudkin’s Marketing Minute and RedPepper’s The Seed, my two favorite newsletters. They’re both marketing oriented and they both take less than 5 minutes to read but provide a message that stays with me for days and often weeks.

Check them out to  increase your marketing prowess in less than 10 minutes a week.

Thanks for the info, Kristen. I heard about Marcia from someone who took her class at Cambridge Center for Adult Ed, and I just subscribed to her newsletter. Btw, which of the freelance newsletters do you recommend (there’s a ton out there aside from the marketing ones you just mentioned).

I really enjoy these newsletters when I have time to read them:

  • Absolute Write Newsletter
  • The Fabulist Flash
  • Abundant Writing News

I had been receiving close to a dozen on a weekly or monthly basis, but I literally haven’t had time to get through any of them and ended up canceling all but these three. There are so many good ones out there, though. :[

Please leave a comment with your suggestions, and preferably a link to the subscription page so we can all check out your favorite newsletter.

Kristen,

Thank you for the high praise!

I’m at nearly 500 issues of the Marketing Minute and it still makes a difference to me to get reader feedback like yours.

All best,
Marcia Yudkin

You’re welcome, Marcia. I hope you’ll turn them into a book sometime soon! :]

I highly recommend Meg Weaver’s weekly news updates that provide a sneak peek at the magazine industry’s latest happenings.

I love it! And with newsletters, simplicity is best. Your sections are very clear, readable and easy on the eyes. I often wonder where others get their information from and so to that end I’m going to share some of my sources.
