www.inkthinkerblog.com — I think I just found the best line in a job ad ever.
The “employer” is seeking a co-author for a novel set in apocalyptic times, with an obviously religious title. In addition to basically saying that they have a title and nothing else (he or she wants the “collaborator” to do all of the research plus write “dialogue and action”), this poster has very clear expectations on who may and may not respond to the ad:
Beginners please do not apply. Remember God watches…
Yeah, God is watching me roll my eyes at you right now, jerk.
I had forgotten how entertaining online job boards can be. Ahh, the good old days. Is this nostalgia I’m feeling? Or just that second glass of wine on a “school night”?

What kind of money can be made submitting articles to blogs and websites?
It really depends on the individual sites. Some places pay a fraction of a sent per word, whereas others pay 50+ per post. Use your discretion and shop around.
Yeah, I’m rolling my eyes at that one, too. I still check the job boards, though, because I have found some legitimately good gigs on them. I guess it’s like the old joke about having to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince (or princess, as the case may be). Thanks for the laugh, and Happy New Year.
It’s gotta be the wine. LOL
The job boards are entertaining, aren’t they? At least they serve a small function beyond mere annoyance.
Classic- who knows, you could be missing out on the next billion-dollar Mel Gibson Christian Franchise. That crowd doesn’t seem to concern themselves too much with quality content anyhow.
This is amazing, i never thought someone will need a partner to write a book. big lol.
Innovative idea are still alive – Gotta give it a try. Thanks for sharing!
I’d be inclined to grant with you on this. Which is not something I typically do! I really like reading a post that will make people think. Also, thanks for allowing me to comment!
Do you care if I reference part of this on my site basically post a hyperlink to this site? I really appreciate all the excellent content you may have right here. I am glad I came across your web page.
This blog just made me smile. Yeah, it’s true, it’s quite hard to find good jobs online but from time to time, you do find something interesting and worthy of your time. I agree with Debra’s comment. You gotta kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince or princess.
Haha! The title of this post alone is too hilarious to miss out on! I think whoever wrote that job ad is a genius! Is the job still available though? :)
the article bring a good laugh! can i like apply for as the partner of the author? well just kidding.
