www.inkthinkerblog.com — The good news is that a project I accepted is running late, so I get a 20% rush fee to keep it as close to schedule as possible. The bad news is that I have to work all weekend. I wish I weren’t so committed to being able to pay my bills…

www.inkthinkerblog.com — Just as a reminder, here’s a “before” shot:
Drumroll please….
AFTER
Please give a round of applause for my trusty sidekick, Zoe, who helped me with the cleaning-up process. She doesn’t get nearly enough credit for all the ways she pitches in while I’m working: drinking out of my cup, lying on my files, walking across the keyboard, knocking things over… She really keeps me on my toes.

www.inkthinkerblog.com — My friend Talia from the forums over at Absolute Write was kind enough to point me toward this hilarious post by Matt Dinniman about, you guessed it, GLAMOUR SHOTS! It’s such a perfect complement to my Glam-tastic? entry that I just had to link to it. Enjoy!

www.inkthinkerblog.com — It’s called Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life, and I think it may be my new favorite. Amy Krouse Rosenthal has penned a fantastic memoir composed of short, alphabetized, cross-referenced entries in the style of an encyclopedia. The cover was what caught my eye, and then the front jacket copy really sucked me in:
I have not survived against all odds.
I have not lived to tell.
I have not witnessed the extraordinary
This is my story.
It’s positively stunning, the whole thing. So far, my favorite entries are “Brodsky, Joseph,” “Change,” and “Distraction.” I’m only halfway through the D’s, though so I imagine that this list will grow.
I highly recommend that you pick it up. Here’s the link:
